This is the latest recall announced by the FDA<\/a>. \u00a0If you have the Safe Pet Treats app<\/a>,\u00a0the app will alert you of the recall if you scan\u00a0the barcode found on the back of these two products<\/p>\n

The following can be found on the FDA’s website<\/a><\/p>\n

Blue Ridge Beef is voluntarily recalling two (2) of its frozen products due to their potential to be contaminated with Salmonella<\/em> and\/or Listeria monocytogenes<\/em>. Salmonella<\/em> and Listeria<\/em> can affect animals eating the product. There is a risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surface exposed to these products.<\/p>\n

Healthy people infected with Salmonella<\/em> and\/or Listeria monocytogenes<\/em> should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever.<\/p>\n
