This recall is only for their 15.9 oz bags of Pig Ear Slivers- Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices with expiration date of 11\/09\/2026 and UPC 7709417695092. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This recall has been added to the Safe Pet Treats app<\/a>.  Available on iTunes and Google Play.<\/p>\n\n\n

Supercan Bulk of Miami, Florida is recalling one lot of Supercan Pig Ear Slivers- Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices pet treats in 500 piece bags, 15.9 oz, expiration date 11\/09\/2026, due to Salmonella<\/em> contamination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pets that have consumed products contaminated with Salmonella<\/em> can be adversely affected and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthy people infected with Salmonella<\/em> should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Rarely, Salmonella<\/em> can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pets with Salmonella<\/em> infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The product comes in 15.9 oz bags with expiration date 11\/09\/2026, marked on the back side of the product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The health risk was discovered when samples of the product were collected on 03\/04\/2025 and tested by the Washington State Department of Agriculture<\/a>. The product tested positive for Salmonella<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recalled lot of Supercan Pig Ear Sliver pet treats was distributed between 04\/11\/2024 in North 40 store located in Washington State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No illnesses have been reported to date. Supercan Bulk has proceeded with a recall on that lot and will safely proceed to dispose of it under the FDA\u2019s instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to return to the place of purchase or destroy the food in a way that children, pets, and wildlife cannot access it. Do not sell or donate the recalled products. Do not feed the recalled product to pets or any other animals. Wash and sanitize pet food bowls, cups, and storage containers. Always ensure you wash and sanitize your hands after handling recalled food or any utensils and surfaces that come in contact with recalled food.
