Hill’s Science Diet recently reached out to us and they state that “There is no reason to be concerned. There are no health, safety or nutrition issues. It is safe to feed as intended.” Upon further investigation it looks like there was a labeling misprint problem and the products were withdrawn. We now believe there is no reason to consider these products harmful for your pet and will remove them from the Safe Pet Treats app database.

Hill’s Science Diet has recently put out a silent voluntary withdrawal with PetsMart. Luckily, some members of truthaboutpetfood.com and poisonedpets.com came across the withdrawal notice and warned other pet owners. The reason for the withdrawal is still unknown.
The Safe Pet Treats app will identify these products by scanning the barcode should you happen to come across it at the pet store. The app is available for Apple and Android devices.
